Everything you need to know about our Nursery Open Day

The Open Day is completely free to attend and no booking is required – simply pop along at any point between 10am and 1pm on Saturday 7th March. We are located at 74-76 Kings Road, Sutton Coldfield, B73 5AE, which is easily accessible from Kingstanding by car in just a few minutes. We welcome families with children from 9 months to 4 years old, and we actively encourage you to bring your little one along on the day. Seeing how your child responds to the environment is one of the most valuable things you can do when choosing a nursery.

Explore our nurturing rooms and outdoor spaces

During your visit, a member of our team will guide you through our beautiful setting, allowing you to explore the different rooms and spaces tailored to each stage of your child’s development.

Our cosy and stimulating Baby Unit provides a calm, nurturing environment where our youngest children from 9 months begin their journey with us. Our vibrant Nursery Unit is a busy, exciting space that keeps toddlers engaged and developing through creative, play-based activities. And our fantastic Pre-School Unit is specially designed to give children the confidence, independence, and skills they need as they prepare for their exciting transition to primary school.

We are also incredibly proud of our outdoor play areas, which form an essential part of daily life at Rowans. Research consistently shows the enormous benefits of outdoor learning for young children, and our garden spaces are designed to inspire curiosity, physical development, and a love of the natural world. Kingstanding families visiting on the day will get a full tour of these fantastic spaces.

See how we support your child’s learning and development

The Open Day is also a brilliant opportunity to understand how we approach learning at Rowans. Our team will walk you through how we deliver a rich, engaging curriculum rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring that every child is nurtured and encouraged to reach their full potential through play.

You can get a flavour of how we structure each day on our a day at Rowans page, but the Open Day will bring it all to life in a way that no webpage ever truly can. From morning welcome routines through to outdoor adventures, mealtimes, and creative activities, you will leave with a clear picture of exactly what daily life looks like for your child at Rowans.

Find out about free childcare funding

Depending on your child’s age and your household circumstances, you may be eligible for free childcare funding of up to 30 hours per week. Our childcare funding page has a helpful overview, and we will be delighted to talk you through the detail in person on the day.
