Nursery Unit Childcare: Places Available for September 2026 Intake

Learning to explore in a safe and fun environment

Lion Handpuppet

This excellent space is sectioned into three nursery groups Triangles, Squares and Circles.

As you walk through the superb rooms you will see a variety of tabletop and floor activities to accommodate all types of play and the development of each child.

Within this section, staff support parents to complete 2-year assessments when their child turns two.

The nursery offers substantial indoor and outdoor activities with the use of a large, grassed area and smaller paved areas.

We encourage risky play and support children to seek the awe and wonder of their world around them through developing exploration and information seeking to develop a natural curiosity.

Each room is warm, friendly and inviting and we endeavour to ensure children’s interests are supported each time they visit us.

The planning of the activities ensures they are fun and nurturing experiences in these areas are purposeful and ensure they are meaningful to each child.

We encourage the use of natural items to support the play.

Our staff enjoy listening to the children making music on the piano, investigating cardboard boxes or just sitting in our cosy area sharing a story or singing a nursery rhyme.

EYFS Learning Through Structured Play

Across our three nursery groups, Triangles, Squares and Circles, every activity is planned around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Structured play sits at the heart of the day: tabletop games that build fine motor skills, role play that grows language and imagination, and adult-led group times that gently introduce sharing, listening and turn-taking. Your child’s key person tracks their development and shares progress with you regularly.

Settling In: Shy Children, Dietary Needs and Allergies

Two year olds arrive with all sorts of personalities, and our team is brilliant with children who take a little longer to find their feet. Shy children are paired closely with their key person, given quiet corners to retreat to, and never rushed into group activities before they are ready. Dietary needs and allergies are managed through individual care plans. Our cook prepares fresh meals every day and the whole team knows exactly what each child can and cannot have.
