Our nursery staff World Book Day celebrations were a huge success as the Rowans team brought their favourite characters to life! While the children looked absolutely fantastic in their outfits last Thursday, our wonderful practitioners made sure they did not miss out on the fun.
Bringing Stories to Life
At Rowans Nursery, we believe that inspiring a love of reading starts with showing children just how magical books can be. Our staff fully embraced this year’s Read Your Way theme by dressing up as some of literature’s most iconic figures. Welcoming the children at our Kings Road entrance was quite the cast of characters!
We had everything from the practically perfect Mary Poppins (complete with her famous umbrella and carpet bag) to the villainous Cruella de Vil. Little Red Riding Hood made an appearance, alongside Miss Honey and not one, but two fantastic Where’s Wally and Wenda costumes. The children absolutely loved spotting their teachers in disguise and talking about the different books they were from.
