The Sutton Coldfield childcare funding deadline is 31st March 2026. If your child attends Rowans Day Nursery and you are claiming funded childcare hours for the April term, please make sure your eligibility code is obtained before this date.
Why the Childcare Funding Deadline Matters
The government’s childcare funding scheme runs in line with school terms. To receive your funded hours from the start of the April term, your eligibility code must be obtained in advance. If you have not obtained your code before 31st March, your funded hours cannot be applied until the following term.
Who Does This Apply To?
The funded childcare entitlement covers a range of families – not all require a code, but some entitlements do carry a deadline:
- All 3 and 4 year olds – 15 hours per week (universal entitlement) – no code required
- Working families with 3 and 4 year olds – 30 hours per week – code must be obtained by 31st March
- Working families with 2 year olds – 30 hours per week – code must be obtained by 31st March
- Working families with children from 9 months – 30 hours per week – code must be obtained by 31st March
- Disadvantaged 2 year olds – 15 hours per week – no deadline for code
How to Get Your Code
If you are not sure whether you are eligible or need help applying, visit our Childcare Funding page for everything you need to know. Applying takes around 20 minutes and you will receive your code by email. Once you have your code, simply share it with our team and we will take care of the rest.
What Happens After You Obtain Your Code?
